Lost (again)... *sigh*. But there's always the next game!

Newcastle started the game strong, going 2-0 up on a pair of goals by Jordan Landry before the Knights' goal-scoring machine Shaun Fairweather taking a pass from Mike Harrow at the blue line and broke free alone to slide the puck through the five-hole of Northstars’ netminder Matt Ezzy.
Laurie Mock levelled the score for Canberra with three and a half minutes left in the period, one-timing the biscuit under Ezzy after teammate Fairweather had fed him a pass from behind the net.
Canberra’s David Lewis roofed a shot from the crease just 24 seconds after that as the Knights ended the period with a 3-2 lead.
The teams played out a dump-and-chase affair until Newcastle’s Andrew Ogilvie netted the puck off a goal-mouth scramble with 2:08 remaining before Landry Landry stole the game for the Northstars after some quick passing by Rob Starke and Don Nichols had left him open in the low slot.
The Knights will now have a two week break to regroup before they make their first visit to Baulkham Hills this season to play the Sydney Bears.

KNIGHTS DOWN NORTHSTARS IN THRILLER!
The Canberra Knights came from behind last weekend to rack up their 3rd win of the season - 4-3 over the Northstars at Hunter Ice Skating Stadium.
It was a great win by the guys, who were again outnumbered on the road. The Northstars were AIHL runners up in 2004, so the result shows just how well the team is doing so far.
We're looking forward to seeing the Melbourne ICE for the first time this year on Saturday. They have a 1 and 1 record this season, after two 4-3 results against the Avs at home - one of them in overtime!
This week we also formally welcome MIKE FUNK to the team. Mike, a defenceman, is 21 and hails from Ontario, Canada. Please make him welcome!
